Ceredigion Preseli Labour Party
The UK Labour Party is organised by regions, including Scotland and Wales, so we are part of Welsh Labour, and at a more local level, by constituencies – we are the Ceredigion Preseli Constituency Labour Party (CLP).
Meetings
All-Member Meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of the month
As a member you will receive information by email ahead of each meeting. Most meetings are open to members only, and we may check membership cards, so please remember to bring yours with you. If you can’t find it, please get in touch before the meeting.
Branch Meetings you’ll also be invited to your local branch meeting. We have are five branches covering the constituency:
- Aberystwyth & Gogledd Branch
- Llanbedr/Lampeter Branch
- Aberteifi/Cardigan Branch
- Preseli Branch
- Fishguard & Goodwick Branch

Meetings are places to discuss policy and political questions, and campaigning issues, both local and national. If you have an issue that you want to raise, take it to your branch meeting first. If appropriate, the branch meeting can decide to pass it on to the general (whole constituency) meeting. Some things might give rise to a local campaign at branch level, others might call for action at constituency level, others we might want to pass on to the Welsh or National ECs or conferences
Members of the EC and delegates to the conferences are elected at the AGM. All members are entitled to put themselves forward for these roles
At each level, decisions are taken by meetings, either of all members or, where that’s not practical, by delegates sent from more local groups. At national and regional level, these meetings are known as conferences, and the CLP sends delegates to both the National and the Welsh Conferences. At the constituency and branch level, we just call them meetings

Funding
Labour HQ sends us a small cut of the membership fees, but it’s never enough. Sending delegates to conference and elections are particularly expensive! If you can DONATE it will really help gain support for the movement
Being permanently short of cash, we have on-going local fundraising.
